Welcome! I’m a GP new to Papamoa, Tauranga, having recently moved down from Auckland with my wife and 2-year-old son to start the next chapter of our lives. I bring experience across various specialties, including cardiothoracics, neurosurgery, psychiatry, and emergency medicine. I have a particular interest in minor skin surgery and have completed postgraduate studies in paediatric medicine. When I’m not consulting, I enjoy spending time outdoors and taking my dog for walks. You’ll often find me at the storm water reserve on weekends. If so, feel free to say hi!
I am originally from the Bay of Plenty and completed my nursing training in Auckland before returning home in 2009. With more than 20 years’ experience as a practice nurse, I went on to complete advanced study at the University of Auckland and have now been practising as a Nurse Practitioner for the past eight years. I enjoy working in a collegial, supportive team and providing care to our community. My clinical interests include child and youth health, long-term condition management, and women’s health. Alongside my practice role, I also work as a Clinical Advisor for our local Primary Health Organisation, providing clinical leadership, guidance and support to general practice teams. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 children, travelling and spending time at the beach.
